Boss TU2 tuner....volume issue

Sign in to disble this ad
Lately when running through my Boss TU2 that intermittently, I get some lose in volume. It comes back and then for a few minutes, I get loss in volume again.

Has anyone else had a similar issue ??? Could it be an issue with the switch ???

Do you use a battery or a 9-volt power supply?

No.

Tried checking for faulty cables or dirty connections?

Are you running through the one that mutes your signal while engaged or the one that bypasses your signal through while engaged?

I have been using a battery and it is the one that mutes the signal while engaged.

Every now and then ( usually once per practise) it will attenuate my sound.

I would change the battery. It's probably getting low.

The battery is new, so that shouldn't be an issue. Even if it was the battery, would that effect it when it is not in tuning mode and I am playing ???

Yes. Unless it is a true bypass pedal (which it isn't) it is going through the electronics, so still using up battery.

Change it anyway just to make sure, then plug it into a 9-volt power adapter. Check both to be sure.
