lately, during shows.. this pedal.. the Boss TU-2 pedal.. whatever it's called.. its the white pedal.. I got it used.. it is generally good..
however, a few times.. I have noticed.. it misleads me.. it sort.. of locks up.. and does not @ all work.. it appears it's going nuts.. meaning.. not in any mode at all.. it will tell me "G" is attained when I am in D.. etc.. then I have to click the MODE button and select back to guitar.. fresh battery.. the pedal has lost its mind.. and it's caused a lot of problems live.. lately..
I am thinking of grabbing a Korg.. which is ugly and cheap looking.. I like that the Boss pedal is heavy duty.. anyway.. just wondering how the pedal has lost its mind.. and what you guys recommend? I need it for muting also.. I split my signal through it.. str from bass to pedal... str from pedal to Mark Bass LM II.. if the Markbass had a MUTE button... I would put the pedal off its tuner output.. but I like the MUTINg..
suggestions appreciated. ! |

Ugly and cheap-looking? Certainly not! The Korg is infinity more durable than the Boss. More accurate too. |

| | Registered User | | | | | lol... ok.. the korg.. I thought it was plastic.. I had never seen one except for web.. I will look at the others also..
"true bypass..." well Boss has that too.. I never use it..
what do you guys mean by that.. that you connect a SECOND cable to the bypass.. "just in case?" .. or always..
should I be running a 2nd cable.. but to where.. I just connect to the output of my boss.. but the pedal has really been causing me problems.. serious problems.. the other night, I ditched it and tuned by ear.. changed the battery a few weeks ago.. brand new.. tested the battery.. it's maybe 90% full.. or charged.. so it's not the battery. thanks one and all. |

I can't say if the Korg Pitchblack is better than the Boss (I've never used the Boss), but I can tell you it's a heavyweight metal tuner that works great, is very accurate and is very easy to read.
