BP200

Hey guys this is my first post at TB, and I have a quick question. I'm moving out of my home for a new school I'm going too, and will be living with a host family. I wouldn't want to be a problem with them so I will not be bringing my amp with me. I was wondering about the BP200's sound quality, and am very interested in the fact that it has the line in for MP3 players. If it has a decent tone, and not too much of a sound quality loss through the line in option, this would be a win win situation for both me and my host family!

Basically I would be playing a Rockbass Corvette classic through the processor with a Zune to practice with, into a decent pair of headphones, basically I just want to have the tone of a decent amp with out waking up these kind people.

Thank you so much in advance, and God bless!

I have a BP200 that hasn't seen the light of day since I got a GT-6B a couple of years ago. The BP200 was a decent pedal once you replaced the presets with your own patches. The thing I didn't like about it was that cycling between patches is a lot slower than the GT-6B. Also, to change anything in a patch during use, I had to bend down, bass in hand, and tweak the knobs. With the GT-6B, I can just hit a pedal to remove or add individual effects from a patch.

I also found the BP200 to be somewhat noisy unless I ran it through the effects loop on my amp.

On the plus side, it's a good introduction to various effect sounds, and there's lots of downloadable patch definitions on the Digitech website. You have to enter the settings manually, but lots of the patches sound pretty good.

Good Luck.

I really wont be needing it for anything besides practice, I just don't want to take up my host family's family room with a half stack haha, basically if it can get a decent bass sound, and also sounds good with the direct line in, I can get by with it for a couple of months.

Should work for that. Also, it has a few built-in drum loops that would give you something to play to if you wished.

I have one; don’t care for the sound through an amp, but like it through headphones.
Makes for a nice quiet practice tool, the line out makes it useful for throwing ideas onto tape, pc etc.
It does have a built in tuner and the whammy is fun to play with.

I actually think I found what I'm looking for in the Raven Labs PHA-1, so I'll probably be picking that up sometime soon unless money becomes tight , but thanks so much for the input guys!

Sharing Patches for the BP200?

Besides the Patch Library on Digitech's web site would anoyone else like to share some patch settings with me via email that they may have outside of Digitech's website? I'm always looking for more patches for the BP200.

Thanks
