Broke 2 SLiders On my HOG!

Sign in to disble this ad
So, during a jam session with a few libations I went to hit the bypass on my HOG and, well I missed my mark and broke the input gain and dry output sliders off. I can still move the slider inside by inserting the broken plastic piece into the channel. One of the sliders broke off with the metal part intact as you can see in the pic but the other one has no metal part attached.

Any ideas as to how I can fix this??....I'm upset I really wanted to be able to re-sell this thing in a month or two for close to what I paid for it.

Hot glue and a paperclip, MacGuyver.

I'd go with the gel form of superglue, but yeah.

Also, you might email EHX and see how much they'll charge to fix it. I once plugged the wrong power supply into my HOG, and EHX fixed it for 15 bucks.

Also, if unfancy footwork starts to become a habit near your HOG, look into the preset footswitch!

Haha oh well I'd be happy to take about half the value for the thing if I need to. To the guy who said get the extra footswitch: Yeah I'd love one but right now even $100 is just too much for me to spend.

I think I'm gonna go with super glue but I am not in a hurry to do that... Knowing myself it could go horribly wrong but I did a dry run and it seems like a possible fix. Just need to figure out what to do about the slider with no metal piece.

Anyone know how good EHX customer service is? I've had several companies send me free replacements for stuff. I'm sure those little metal arms can't cost much to manufacture and they may be able to send you a few for free or cheap.

Send them an email at the very least before you resort to anything else.

I did that to a micro synth a few years ago. I had to by the replacement sliders in 4 packs. I still have 2 of them left if you are interested.

Yeah I have emailed them and you're right I'm going to see what they say first.
