Broken Battery Clip

Sign in to disble this ad
Good evening.

While arranging some pedals on my Pedaltrain about five minutes ago, I inadvertently broke one of the leads of the 9v clip on my green Sovtek Big Muff. More specifically, the negative lead detached. While I could certainly replace the whole clip if need be, I would, for obvious reasons, rather not do so. Is there any to avoid replacing the entire clip, or am I going to have to pony up the $5 for a new one?

Thank you.

Have the AC mod done to you Sovtek.

Batteries suck.

If it primarily remains stationary, you could strip the neg. back a little exposing the wire and then pinch the wire between the battery pole and connector. I've had to do this in a live situation after breaking the connector during a battery swap 5 mins before going on stage with my active bass. Needless to say I started the gig sweating.

I'm whipping the horsey carcass again, because I would like to know if anyone has instructions, diagrams or knowledge of how to modify the green Sovtek Big Muff for AC. I want to start using it again - it's been sitting in storage for over eight months, and while my Fatman has done a stellar job filling in, it doesn't sound the same as a green Sovtek Big Muff. Nothing sounds the same as a green Sovtek Big Muff - that's why I bought it two years ago.

Thank you.

Okay, I hate to have to do this, but I have a rare free weekend. I would like to get this done ay-sap, so any and/or all input will do me right. In other words, bump through an absinthe haze.
