Broken Crybaby Bass Wah

So, i have a Dunlop Crybaby Bass Wah, and after leaving it in my car for a couple days i plug it and and start to play with it. It is all distorted and i need to know how to possibly check to see whats wrong with it or how to fix it. PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Well, there's probably a hundred things you can check, but it depends on your skills as to whether it's viable for you to do so. The first two things any techo is gonna ask is "did you use a brand new battery?" and "did you test your equipment before you plugged in the wah?"

My money's on the battery.

And if it's an active bass... maybe that battery.

Well, you need to find a way of working out definitively if it is in fact faulty. No point trying to fix something that might not be broken, eh?!

Then, to properly troubleshoot to component level you'll need a multimeter and some basic tools. To actually fix it if it is broken you'll need a soldering iron. If you've got all of that available to you then we can help you through.

um. thanks. i guess I'll get rid of mine now,

you didn't put a battery in and leave it plugged in while it was in the car, did you? that would drain the battery...
