Yesterday I plugged in my odb-3 to the usual 9 volt adapter I use and I started to smell something burning so i unplugged it and smoke was coming out =/
Any ideas of what happened or if its possible to fix?
Thanks |

Hell, even the SD-1 [well the really old ones anyway] sounds better on bass. |

E.g. having the treble whacked up, the blend too wet, and feeding into a house PA system as well as their amp so that we get to hear all the harshness in all it's glory. A lot of bass players go into their local guitar store and get it because it's the only one labelled 'bass overdrive' and the staff in the store don't usually know enough to point them in the right direction. |

This agree with, but what I mean is the eq effects the "dry" signal when it is on, so, if you have the ODB-3 set with the blend all the way clean with no distortion in you signal the eq effects your "dry" signal
so there is no way to get the distortion to sound ok and and then mix it with your clean sound. |

I went in to buy my first effect pedal a handful of years ago and I wanted something that would give me a little distortion and added bite, maybe a boost to my sound. The store recommended the odb-3 (probably just because of the reasons you mentioned) and I bought it. I've managed to use it at times, and it is working right now to dirt up the effected signal of my HOG pretty well, but I haven't used it on my clean bass signal for about 3 years. Not as keen to buy a pedal sound unheard anymore. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
