I'm looking at a few choice things to ask for aside from lots of cash to replace the massive amount of savings I've spent on gas this year. All I have right now is a Digitech BSW that I mainly use so far (I think on the Synth 2 setting, may be 1) as a great synthy fuzz.
You start maxing and minning the knobs on that thing to make it more straightforward and it gets a tone that really shouldn't be allowed in that pricerange with all the other stuff in the same box, of course you can't shape that too much so it's good mostly for times when I don't need cut like intros, transitions, occasional DFA1979 cover, etc. For an effects newbie, what are a few choice, cheap things I should ask for?
Top priority is replacing my Pitchblack, behind that a Bad Monkey, and here's where I need your help:
for my first fuzz I'm debating between the Joyo Ultimate Octave, Danelectro French Toast (I'll be playing a Dano copy bass almost exclusively), and a Fender Sub-Lime, which is of course much more expensive but the toe wheel really interests me to experiment with while playing and the crossover control sounds great.
I'm also not sure where to start for something that takes my tone somewhere rather than just shaping it, e.g. a delay or chorus or something. I'm interested in some crazy delay experimentation, though. I'll be asking for a One Spot to go with all this, obviously.
As you may have guessed from my bass, I'm interested in sounds and music that's a lot more organic or at least visceral than anything hi-fi, so warm-sounding's good, but cheap-costing's best! All suggestions are appreciated, thanks people

The Sub-Lime's not too much cheaper I know, but I've heard it's good for a maiden voyage into fuzz and again, toe wheel snazz. But Idunno. I'd also be interested in some flange or phase, any education about these would be appreciated. And a multi-effects unit didn't work out for me on guitar so I won't be doing that

I am actually selling a Sub Lime for $100 shipped if you're interested...

The Xerograph is an amazing envelope filter. It can do super sweet low pass filtering, pair it up with a good gated fuzz and it is mind blowing. It also is an envelope filter. Up sweeps and down sweeps. The sweep can be controlled by an expression pedal. It is very versatile. |

I'm just sizing everything up. I know the Joyo's way better build quality. Pitchblack was stolen or lost, along with all my band's cables and tabs of everything I'd written, worked like a charm the whole time I had it, though, if I remember correctly. Envelope filters kinda intimidate me for some reason
