Butler Tube Driver, for Bass.

It's a longshot, but has anyone tried this pedal with the bass guitar, I know I love it's guitar sound, but I am in dire need of some bass distortion. My original plan was to get the Sans amp bass driver, just to beef up my sound and add a little bit of grind..

So anyone got any input, should I just stay with my old plan and get the Sansamp?

Get it, and a blend pedal (Boss LS2 will work). Go to town!

i had the rackmount version and I was fairly happy with it--i sold it, but for the time I thought it sounded ok on bass. To be honest, it still didn't beat the sansamp RBI imo

Switch the tube to a 12AU7. Better to get a Blue Tube pedal though.

The blue tube will cut the lows a little (but only a touch), and due to the EQ being centered for guitar, if you start boosting the EQ you'll only make it more noticeable. Other than that, great pedal, I found either a 12AU7 or a EH12AX7-LPS was the best tube for the job.

Interesting, I remember having to boost the bass EQ a touch on both the Real Tube (black box) and Blue Tube, or was the comparison to just the straight bass signal or another model?
