BYOC Flanger modified for bass

I just finished this pedal and thought I'd share the bass mods I used. It sounds great with no loss of the low end. I'm really, really happy with the tone out of it. It's pretty versatile can go from nice and subtle to absolutely crazy.

I reduced the wet signal by replacing the 22k resistor with a 27k. Increased the dry signal by replacing the 33k resistor with another 27k. I also adjusted the high pass filter by replacing the 33n cap with a 10n, but only on line B. I left the line A cap alone so there would be more difference between the two.

This is my favorite looking build I've done. Hope you enjoy it!

It's the purple hookup wire that makes it funky.

love how you have designed the pedal. love the jets and the missile/guns terminology.
curious, what do the different knobs do exactly?

Speed: controls the speed of the LFO (low frequency oscillator) sweep
Intensity: controls the intensity of the LFO sweep
Sweep: This allows you to manually control the sweep when the intensity knob is turned off. It is also a delay time control when the intensity is not off.
Feedback: Controls the amount of signal sent back into the delay line
Missiles/Guns Toggle: adds or removes a second bucket brigade delay chip that is in parallel and out of phase with the primary chip.

Beautiful build, dig the purple wire!

Really like the decals. May I ask how you did them?

Stewie, you're judgmentally quoting bible verses and you don't even know how to read!

Thanks! For the decals I use inkjet water-slide decal paper. I create the graphics in Paint Shop Pro and then print on the decal paper.

Make sure and put a couple coats of clear coat on the decal paper before you apply it or else the ink will run. This is not a problem if using laser jet water-slide decal paper.

I make the decal fit the entire top rather than cutting the individual labels. This makes for a much smoother looking front.

Once the decal is on, 2-3 coats of clear coat really make it pop.

Got any sound clips?

I've been thinking about jumping into a pedal build... the mods you detail in your first post, are those the bass specific mods you did to the design?
