Bypass Pedal: 100%wet or blend?

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm looking for a single stomp box that will allow me to switch between 100% wet signal of an effects loop and a selectable amount of wet vs dry.

Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks,
Chris

The Xotic X-Blender is the king of that feature. There are a couple of newcomers that do it too, but the Xotic has not been beaten yet.

Thanks. I wish there was a pedal that was like the xotic blender but 'dumbed down.'

Honestly, I've grown to find that I use pretty much every option that the X-Blender offers. I felt it was overkill at first, but they're nice to have.

Also, the only way it could possibly be "dumbed-down" at all would be to remove the EQ and volume knobs--and I set those flat a lot of the time anyway. Everything else is both essential and super-simple. Well, some people find the phase switch is not essential, but for me it is.

I'm just looking for a pedal that instead of like the popular loooper pedals or any bypass pedals with a blend that have the bypass/blend option I want a pedal that will have 100%wet/blend option.

Talk to Wounded Paw and [sfx], either of them can custom-make something for you. But if you are concerned about cost, a custom unit will not be cheaper than the Xotic.

Thanks. I'm surprised nobody is making something like this in mass. It would be great to add to any overdrive/distortion to make it more usable.

Well, come on--there are loads of different blenders on the market, it's just that not everyone wants the "blend or 100% wet" switch, and those that do have been totally happy with the Xotic.

I've got an SFX pedal that can do this, although it's actually two loops in parallel like an LS-2 but they have a switch each, so they can be switched on and off independently. When both are on they get blended, when one is on it's soloed, when both are off it's a transparent line driver. Killer little utility box.

Try This1ssmine. Dan can do anything you want, in just about any size. I'm having him build a parlel loop with a send control and a blend control to use with an M13.

Dan from This1smine.com said he'd make me one for the same price as a normal blender pedal!

I do this with a sans amp RBI. The effects loop has a 50/50 switch for a blend, and you can run effects in front of the sans amp for 100% wet. Planning on getting either a voodoo labs switcher/commander combo or a GCX audio switcher so I can rack-mount all my pedals but an easier way is just to make a one or two space rack on your pedalboard and put the RBI on the board its not very deep maybe about 4 inches.

It's gotten several negative reviews here, and no positive ones.

When it comes to switching pedals, make your own. It would cost you about a tenner

Welcome to the TB effects forum. Please note that the OP wasn't talking about a switch pedal, but switching between two active blender functions.

+1

i would say my Xotic X-Blender is the most important pedal on my fx-board, the heart ... i love to mix clean sound to the fx-chain .... but i hate the inverting phase problem ... sure, there is a switch to correct that, but some of my effects invert, some donīt .... itīs like a roulette if i use multiple effects at the same time ... i wish the phase-invert switch was a footswitch ....
