Dear all bassists!

I've got an EHX bass balls, a DOD bass freeze, a MXR M80 d.i, and a Boss compressor.

Please help me out i am really new to this!

The stock (and correct answer) is that there really isn't a right or wrong and you should play with them until you find a setup that you like.

But here's a fairly traditional way to set things up:

Bass --> Bassballs --> Compressor --> Bass Freeze --> DI --> Amp

I put the MXR at the end assuming you'd use it as a DI. But if you are planning on using it primarily for dirt (and especially if you are planning on adding to this chain) then you may want to put it it either before or after the compressor.

Hope that helps.

The Big O has spoken truth. Try different arrangments, as things will sound different depending on where they are in the chain. Mostly, just have fun and don't let it get you nutty.

Big +1 to ALL of that. Playing with the order is fun. I discovered that I like delay before modulation the other day. Strange.
