Can the EHX SwitchBlade Plus work in reverse?
Hi all guys, I'm interested in getting a cheap A/B switch and the Electro Harmonix SwitchBlade Plus seems to be one of the cheapest options, the way I would use it most however is switching the signal of two instruments into a single input (either Bass signal or Synth signal going through to the pedals depending on the switch), and I'm not sure whether the Plus version can work in "reverse" like that. I guess not since the manual doesn't mention it but I thought about asking here before giving up all hope :)
The base version of the SwitchBlade can work in "reverse", but it's a very very simple pedal so I'd either get the Plus version or build a simple A/B box myself.
Thanks in advance
Yes, it can work in reverse, but in A+B mode it will be a passive mix, which can be a big problem. Plus the tuner out is probably always in the signal path, which can cause more potential issues.
A better bet for not much more money is a used boss LS-2.
Thanks for the answer,
the LS-2 is a good pedal but I'm looking for a passive pedal, without having to use batteries/power supplies.
I'm not worried about the passive mix as I won't be using that reverse A+B feature all that often, however if the tuner out messes the sound of reverse A/B that would be a deal breaker.
The tuner out won't be a problem if you don't plug anything into it. :)
