| Can i use my M-AUDIO USB interface to update my m13?

I have a m-audio USB interface.

and it's got Midi ins and outs on it.
could i use it to hook up to my m13, and then to my computer, to edit the firmware on the m13? or do i have to get a USB to MIDI cable.
i just dont want to spend the 40 bucks if i dont have to for one update, you know?
