Can an MXR M82 get close to the Dragonaut sound?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey there M82 users.

I understand that Al Cisneros probably uses a Mutron on Dragonaut, and I am aware that a Mutron has settings that an M82 does not have.

However, could an M82 get in the ball park of this sound and if so any ideas for settings?

Here is the song if you are not familiar Sleep - Dragonaut - YouTube

Thanks

I have an M82 and love that song, but haven't tried to emulate the sound. It seems to me you could get close enough. I'll fiddle with it when I get a chance... I don't really have anything for that kind of sludgy OD though so It'll be a weird approximation at best.

I just got one and have been messing with it and my BBM. I have gotten some cool sounds but not really that close to Dragonaut yet.

Much more usable sounds with the BBM before the MXR.
