can someone advise me on overdrive/muff

Sign in to disble this ad
basically i want to recreate a similar sound to the cooper temple clause (if anyone is unfamiliar: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=LMMexd5SRMA ) and sonic youth

just a massive wall of fuzz and distortion essentially, but im a bit of an effects virgin.

so any pedal reccomendations and advice would be greatly appreciated!

many thanks

For all your fuzz needs visit bassfuzz.com
There are tons of reviews, you'll find that most fuzzes are based on a muff,
Watch some vids and see what you think.

Kim Gordon from Sonic Youth also used a Tubescreamer and a RAT quite a lot. The Digitech Bad Monkey will get you a good Tubescreamer sound with plenty of low end for not much cash. Then for balls out wall of fuzz, get a Bass Big Muff or a Supercollider, or any of the great fuzzes on aformentioned site!
