With the switch in the "loose" position, the Turbo Rat can pull of what the Animato does and prolly better from a bass perspective due to it's better handling of low frequencies. However, flipped to the "tight" setting, the Animato has a much harsher clipping to it that makes pinch harmonics scream that a Turbo Rat just isn't gonna be able to duplicate. |

A Supercollider is "based on" a BMP, but a BMP can't really pull off what a Supercollider can. |

As for the Animato, I have found one pedal which can get a little of the attitude, but not totally nail the sound...
Hardwire Tube Distortion. The sound is very nasal, and can get nasty at times. I use it with an LS-2 from boss to keep some clean in there, and sometimes mix it with an OC-2 and get a very synthy octave bass sound.
there really is no replacement, but the Hardwire can get close. A rat can get close as well, is some aspects, but you would know the difference. |

Maybe I can get them done then... And finalize a few other clips. |
