Can this be used for bass?

Looking for a relatively cheap looper. I really just want to be able to record a loop and then improvise/solo over it. It doesn't have to be state of the art, or fancy by any means. This Electro-Harmonix pedal seems to fit the bill pretty well:

Just not sure if you can use it for bass, as it's under guitar effects, but just being a loop pedal, I can't see why not?

Thanks!

I think that's just the foot controller for a(very elaborate, very expensive)looper.

bassteban is right, that's just the controller for the 2880 looper which is about $400. To answer your question though, just about any looper should work fine with bass.

Haha figures. Thanks though. I'm totally new to effects in general; was never really interested before. At any rate, that answers my question, so cool!

Keep your eyes peeled; the occasional just-over-$100 deal pops up. Loopers are great; you can lay down a little rythm track and wank out lead stuff all night long. Also great as a 'sketchbook' for song ideas.

boss dd7 has a 40second loop capability, as well as some other pretty cool delay modes.

If you're not going to be doing long overdubs, the Digitech Hardwire delay/looper has a 20 second looper with infinite overdubs. It's a great value for $150
