Can you fix my EHX Q-tron+ for $20 or less?

A few months back my EHX Q-tron+ XO started acting up an it just got worse over time. Sometimes the signal would cut out or it'll it distort and other similar issues. It's gotten to the point where I'm lucky if I get anything out of it at all. EHX themselves told me they would fix it for $25 but being the cheap ba$tard that I am I was wondering if anyone here on TB could do it for less?

I'd charge you $40 an hour with a one hour minimum, and that's cheap compared to most shops. $25 from the manufacturer is them doing you a massive favor.

So, rather than send it to the place that fixes countless EHX products every day and can identify and repair the issue (or at least diagnose it as unfixable) accurately and ship it back to you quickly you'd rather send it to an anonymous TBer who thinks that maybe they can repair it for less than $25?

On the other hand, I can vouch for the speed and quality of EHX's repair work, having just got my BMS back from New Sensor corp in less than two weeks. Impressive considering I'm on the other side of the country.

But hey, if you want send me your Q-Tron and $20 and I'll take it as an opportunity to learn how to solder and read up on circuit building. You should have it back in a year or two.

Just send it to EHX. I sent in a broken Tube Zipper. I got it on the cheap off of ebay. They fixed it. Sent it back. Maybe two weeks. I sold it when I was hard up for cash. Kinda wish I still had it. It was a smoking deal. You gotta love Electro Harmonix.
