Try these

You get less out of the box but I've got one and works fine as a spare or backup

Another point please

Hrmmm. Sorry tayste, i love your threads and reviews and all, but i'm hardly impressed with this power supply. I'm using a 2000ma regulated power supply that cost me less than the one you recommend...

Well in the Uk it's cheaper than a one spot and about a 1/3 of the price of a diago brick which is more or less the same thing they look very similar.

If you don't like it don't buy it

Kinda but not really this is a brick you put on your board and you can daisy chain from originally gigrig made one that was about £85 then diago made on that is £50 this is £15 after tax etc which those in the US wouldn't have to pay. The benefits of this are all you have to do is change a figure 8 cable when you go to any other countries which makes it a more tour friendly power supply than the Dunlop Brick, Voodoo Labs PP2+, One Spot, Boss PSU120/230 and that rocktron.

I have mine under my board an connect it all via a patch bay at the side of the board I can't do this with a one spot or that rocktron.

But hey this thread wasn't a check this amazing power supply that is better than all the rest it was a guys looking at the diago and struggling to get it get this instead it's 1/3 the price and as stated if you don't like it don't buy it but feel free to post another power supply that is of similar spec but cheaper.

Here's where i got mine. The guy imports what i believe to be power supplies made in China to his specs. Note that the 26 buck price is SGP, so that is roughly 9 euros or 15 USD.

This gives me an idea...

Has anyone tried a laptop power supply? What do they supply, voltage/amp wise?

It should tell you right on the label of the wall wart, I'm guessing not all laptop power suplies are the same voltage.

They vary, but they're never 9VDC I can assure you. Most I've seen are 24VDC and the good ones are up around 8A.

But, if you've ever tried recording audio on a laptop you'd know that the noise is unacceptable for serious audio applications. Some of this can be attributed to the power supplies.

TaySte, i've been trying to buy a Diago powerstation for about a month now and they don't have stock.

This power supply looks very interesting (especially at that price point), have you had any noise or any other issues with yours?

No problems with mine at all and it is powering a stupidly huge pedalboard

I've got one it and it works a treat, no noise that I can detect. They don't sell right-angled daisy chains on the site though so I'd source one of those elsewhere - the straight plugged ones are a pain when trying to squeeze pedals onto a board.

Thanks.

Do you think this power supply would work with the Diago 18V Adaptor?

The 18VDC adapter doesn't discriminate.

It fits onto any ordinary Boss-style plug. Technically, ANY regulated 9VDC adapter with a 2.1mm barrel plug could be turned into a makeshift 18VDC adapter this way.
