im choosing between a sansamp tech 21 bass driver di so I can improve my current rig or i might redo my amp setup get a line 6 lowdown bass head. i wanted to ask u guys first so I can make this decision less hard

I'd go with a different head but not the line 6. It really depends on what sort of tone you're going for. The amp forum might be more helpful for that.

IMO it's better to get a better amp that gets the sounds you want rather than trying to improve an inferior one with effects - not matter how good the effects are.

Tell what sort of sound you're aspiring to get close to, and we can suggest what you need to look for.

i want multiple tones. like funk, metal, classic rock. both the line 6 and the sansamp seem to be very versatile when it comes to creating different tones
