can't find sound i,m looking for

i am using a zoom b2 thru carvin b800 head peavey 210 and 115 cabs,while i can get alot of the sounds i like i can'tquite find exactly what i'm looking for. one of the songs we play is you oughta know by alanis morrisette,i'm not sure if it's any effect or just the amp/cab combo used on that song.any suggestions or is it just a case of i can't get there from here with what i'm using.thanks

flea plays that song and he used a modulus (or a wal) which have both very caracteristic sounds that are difficult to obtain, I'd say boost your midrange (around 400hz) and attack you strings hard to get the amp and bass to growl

just looked at those basses,at that price it better have a sound thats hard to copy. damn nice but not in my future.
