This can't be good. EBS Valvedrive Content

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey all,

So I order myself in an EBS Valve Drive to Australia from Basscentral. I picked up a 12V .7Amp Power Supply (which should be fine) and the pedal arrived today.

Anyway plugged it in the valve lit up and so too did the two lights for each pedal however when i activated the pedal the was no volume output - The bypass/mute function worked fine. I turned it off as i had to go pick up my brother and upon my return - nothing happens when it's plugged in - no leds, no glowing tube etc.

I figured the valve must have blown (we have some power surge problems on days over 40 degrees C when every one has their air con on.) Does that sound right or am i in real trouble here?

Thanks

Mike

Good call! The ValveDrive needs an AC power supply...

It's possible that you may not have blown anything- try powering it with the correct power supply and see if it works then.

Hi guys got the new power adaptor and i'm still getting no love so something is gone.

how do i tell if the valve is blown. The sticker says no serviceable parts inside but the circuit diagram has a fuse so i'm unsure where the fuse is.

Any help

Where is the fuse on the schematic? I'm not seeing one...

It's kinda hard to tell about the tube (valve) if the pedal has no power going to it. I'd open the pedal up and see if there is anything fried on the inside. Sounds like there might be something...

There is a fuse inside. If I remember right, it's soldered in place (as opposed to a fuse clip).

Good luck!
