Carpet Adhiesive problems

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi Everyone,

I have a kinsman ABS pedalcase that i use to kart my pedals about on. It cost me £34 and i keep having problems with the carpet sticking to the case. It's all peeled off and i've stuck it back down again with various industrial strength adhiesives with no luck. because its ABS and is only 1/16th thick i cant staple it.

Any ideas as to a solution? I would just bin in and start over, but then ive lost £34 quid

Have you tried copydex? it's designed to stick materials to plastic, so it might be a starting point.

Also, rough up the ABS with some sandpaper before glueing, give the glue something to grab on to! remember to clear away sanding dust though.

Cheers for the tips, i hadnt thought of sanding the board myself!

At the moment im thinking i might just make a pedalboard which fits inside the case, so i have a board that works (hopefully) and a decent case to take it around in. I dont seem to be having much luck with music stuffs recently =[
