catalinbread semaphore trem vs Empress Trem

both look and sound awesome, problem is i cant try them out anywhere in portland. any experience with them? Anybody A/B'ed them? there both nice and spendy, so its really which one sounds better on bass. cheers

btw, the tap tempo does seem to be pushing me towards the empress...

I haven't tried the Catalinbread, but I've had the Empress for quite a while now (mine has the old style knobs) and I still really dig it.

But just as a side note, I have yet to come across a trem that was "better on bass" or "better on guitar" the way I have with phasers, filters and especially dirt. A trem is volume modulation. I don't know that any are particularly "better" for bass than others. It's just a matter of if it has the features, quality and trem style you like.

screw it, the tap tempo wins. i always regret getting pedals without it, so ill spring. cheers
