Catlinbread Silver Kiss

I'm looking for a small light distortion, just grit around my playing. While looking at the hyperpak, which has good reviews around here, I saw the Silver Kiss - is it essentially a hyperpak with an EQ section? Can anyone comment on this? The EQ could be handy, and for an extra $20 it wouldnt hurt IMO, as long as while set flat it doesnt have a considerable amount of coloration.
My other considerations at this point are the Barber LTD SR, hyperpak, and Zvex Box of Rock. $200 is my max (BoR).

I've been wondering if this sounds fine on bass. I've never heard a yes or no so let's see

If nobody has had it (aside from Taystee) then I'll probably spring for both the hyperpak and the Silver Kiss after xmas sometime and only keep one of them
