CE-5 filters?

Are these filters that simply cut bass and treble respectively? Or are they removing the chorus sound from bass and treble frequencies?

It should, typically. But, as this pedal was meant for guitar, it could so be that cutting the chorus from certain frequencies influences a bass's sound differently, WRT a guitar. In other words, our lows are lower than a guitar's lows and our highs are their lows

IME, with both the filters at the max setting, the CE-5 is much more prominent on the higher notes than on the low notes, anyway.
