Off the top of my head, it sounds like a good formant filter could get pretty close, but I wondered if any of you had any comment on achieving a sound such as the one featured in this song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mg9rusnXB_M&fmt=18

sounds just like the bassline for chameleon. which was a keyboard synth. |

It does sound good under a downward enveloping filter though, and the BMS can cover this tone with ease as well- it's probably the easiest way of coping that tone since it can be done with one pedal, and there is less user input necessary to get the correct even filter sweep on each note since you're not dealing with an envelope.

To Hogie, I also agree. Verb is an important part of the sound in the mix of the song.
