Chandler Tube Overdrive

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum or not allowed.

So a long long time ago sometimes in the 80s where I was jamming with some kids, the guitarist brought over a Chandler Tube Driver. Was all excited talking about how cool it was and how David Gilmour used one and all this. Well fast forward a couple years as my parents are cleaning out the garage guess what we found.

It was pretty much the only guitar pedal I used when I'm on the 6 strings and I loved it. However I really stopped playing guitar a couple years ago and only use it for doodling at home. I run bass through it sometimes and it's a really nice sound, a bit lacking in low end but cool and works as a nice tube overdrive. However I just don't use it.

Basically I'm wondering how much I can sell it for. It looks just like that on the in the picture, exact same female end layout and I was told this makes it one of the original. Only issues are comestic and missing some yellow tabs. I'm wondering how much I could possibly get for it? A coworker is offering $400 for it, and at first I was like wow what! However online shows some going for $120 to $350. I'm just not sure really what I should be going for on it. If that's a good price I'm not going to ask for less since it'll help pay rent but just trying to make sure I'm not sitting on a gold mine or something XD.

IMO $400 is way more than it's worth, even taking Ebay-collector-itis into consideration, so take that dough and run with it.

One question: "female end layout"?

IIRC, the chandler ones aren't worth much--the BK butler tube overdrive (the guy who originally designed the same circuit--chandler just bought it and supposedly they aren't as good) is the one that is worth a lot--I had the rack version of this pedal and i liked it on bass!

in any case, for 400 bucks, sell it! that one isn't worth half that IIRC

I'd say sell it for 400 unless you'd feel guilty about it...
