My mind is warped by the possibilities. Someone has decided to market directly to me! http://www.pedalgeek.com/cgi-bin/new...mand=link--mgb MG Bukowsky Envelope Filter:
The MG BUKOSWKY Envelope Filter is designed to create a wide variety of "wahwah" sounds.
The Envelope Filter is a voltage-controlled, low-pass filter in which the upper cutoff frequency is determined by the amplitude, or "level", of the input signal. The louder the signal, the higher the cutoff frequency. The loudness of the signal therefore controls the "brightness" of the sound.
Four knobs, two 3pdt footswitches, and one toggle switch are provided on MG BUKOSWKY Envelope Filter.
Each Bukowsky Envelope Filter pedal is hand-made in Brazil by MG and features: - Threshold Control: Varies the sensitivity of the filtering action; i.e. the degree of brightness obtained from a given input level. Sensitivity increases as the control is rotated clockwise.
- Attack Control: Varies the attack time of the filter. At full clockwise position, the filter responds almost instantaneously. Counterclockwise rotation of the control gradually lengthens the attack time. Longer attack times serve to create a "wa" at the beginning of each note played.
- Emphasis I and II Knobs: A boost on the mid- bass (emphasis I) and on the mid treble (emphasis II) of the filtered signals.
Reverse Sweep toggle switch: Phase inverter, changes the “starting point” of the filtering action. With the switch on the reverse sweep mode the filter starts on low frequencies, and the switch turned off starts on higher ones.
- Filter Range Footswitch: Makes the range of the filtering action longer, giving an impression of a bigger “wah” effect.
- Hand-finished Case
- Alpha Pots
- True Bypass Switching
- LED Indicator
- AC Adapter Jack (standard 9v negative-center - adapter not included)
- Polyester in oil caps
- Switchcraft jacks

They leave me wondering if you can get a really wet sound out of it. I'd really like to try one myself, or hear other samples, because it seems pretty tweakable.
Interesting that Bukowski is spelled correctly on the pedal itself, but incorrectly on all the manufacturers info. |

as for the clips, no offense but it didn't interest me in the least bit. it sounded more like a distortion unit (in the bass clips) than an envelope filter. i think there were maybe 2-3 actual "filtery" clips out of 7.
plus, dude didn't you get a meatball when that thing comes in all this new filter GAS will go away. |

While I like to run a fuzz into a filter as much as the next guy, soundclips in that vein have never swayed me to buy a envelope filter. I think they'd be a lot better served with a few more clean clips, ideally some funkier ones. |

From what I remember it has like 10 knobs, 4 switches does LP/BP/HP,S&H and 2 other things I can't remember. If I can get it I might be able to get it sent to you first and you just forward it on to me a couple of weeks later. Either way I sold my Mutron clone in antisipation and I've not even been told if I can get it yet.
