Cheap graphic EQ pedals (Artec Graphic BEQ & Tuner).

Just looking at cheap G-EQ pedals.

Talking about a £50ish max, used is always a viable option.

Saw the Artec Graphic BEQ & Tuner pedal, just wondering if anyone has one of these and what they thought of it? (Would be useful to also have a tuner).

This is for my punk band, generally typical punchy bass, EB Stingray HH -> Ampeg SVT-II -> Marshall VBC810. EQ on the bass is generally flat, amp usually has a very slight mid boost.

We are planning on working in some Drum and Bass, so looking to boost the bass and level while cutting the mids and highs.

Cheers
- Will

I would strongly reccomend saving up the extra 30 and buying the boss GEB-7. It's a great pedal, and will never die on you. Been using mine for about 3-4 years now, no issues at all.

And, realistically, if you bass has onboard EQ controls, you can do much of what you'd do with a pedal EQ on the bass itself. Not as precise, but overall you can do a lot on the bass itself.

You say the bass is usually set Flat, so there's lots of room there on an HH Stingray to boost lows and mids and cut highs.

It isn't just a boost in the low's, looking for a big boost in the output aswell, and it needs to be at the flick of a switch to work mid song.

I did look at the GEB-7, but while it is just £30 more, £50 really is pushing it for the limit I'd allow myself to spend, especially at this stage. I'll keep an eye on ebay, they'll probably go used for about that much.

Check out the EHX Mole. It is a bass boost pedal and fairly inexpensive, Musicians Friend has then for $39 USD. EHX site below:
