Cheap Intro Chorus Pedal

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm looking to try a Chorus pedal and looking at the cheaper, mass produced for now.
Boss, Digitech, etc. Something I can get used on craigs or
e-bay for under $100.
Let me know what you recommend and why.
Thanks.

You should be able to do decently for $100 or less. I like the Ibanez CS-9. Reissues should be around $70 or so.

Check out used.guitarcenter.com and search for bass chorus. There are a few CEB-3 that are as low as $30. Not bad at all.

The T-Rex Bass Sweeper is an incredibly flexible bass chorus for just $99 new! It's definitely a steal & not an introductory-quality pedal either.

Do I need to stick with a "bass-specific" chorus, or will any guitar chorus work?

If I remember correctly, I liked the sound of the Nano Clone, but not all the noise. Then I gave it away. Didn't want to sell it and thought I might get a return even when I gave it away. Really noisy.

Am I looking at the wrong one?:

Not anywhere near $99.

Not only noisy but also intolerable volume drop.

Seeing pretty good reviews for the Digitech Multi Chorus.
Anyone like it?

I don't know how it does on bass, but I've heard some guitar players like the Danelectro FAB chorus (which is 15 dollars new). Can't get any cheaper than that.

Yeah, that's the one. I got mine from them for $99. Weird.

Seems you can still get it at the mega-sale price elsewhere!

Personally I've only ever owned one chorus pedal and I love it. There's one for sale by
Skiscem for just $32 in the effects for sale forum at the moment.

FS/FT Pedals, tube tremolo, chorus,distortion

Honestly, if I were you, I'd get the Digitech Hardwire CR-7. You should be able to get one used for less than or around $100, and it has a ton of chorus modes, which should get you a reasonably good model of pretty much all of the other good choruses out there. And the sound quality is fantastic.

Get the Danelectro Cool Cat! It's only like $50 new, and is incredibly warm sounding, on both guitar and bass.

Love Hardwires.
Wish they would do a Bass line and add a Fuzz.
