I'm a Subdecay fan even though I haven't owned one. It's near me and the Prometheus looks great.

But about the site, the topic of this thread, I have to say they've done something that always catches my ire. They don't have the type or category of each effect on the home page or navigation menu. If you visited the website for the first time and wanted to read about 'their overdrive', you'd have to guess or click through each pedal. At the least, the 'products' drop down could say 'Blackstar (high gain od)', etc. Super Nova Drive and Echobox are somewhat self explanatory, but Flying Tomato? Quirky and enigmatic might work if you're an indy band or just having a lark, but I think these guys are more professional than that. They should also put a 'buy' button on each pedal's page instead of having a separate (but completely undifferentiated and out of eye line) section on the top menu.

Not to derail or anything, but Im still a little pissed that the company I tried to buy a Noisebox from didn't get them in after like 2 months, and a lot of e-mails between me/them and them/subdecay. Thats when I canceled the sale. They said they'd contact me when some came in, but its been like another 2 months and nothing.

I may have found the perfect balance of 5 fuzzes, and not so much even want a NB anymore, but I still feel I have the right to be pissed about it

So are you mad at Subdecay or the retailer?

I recently had to deal with Subdecay over a problem, they were awesome.

Kindof both. Deadlines were set and broken more than twice (apparently) on Subdecay's end, and the retailer never took the NB off their site, so I couldn't even go by THAT as the if they've ever gotten 'em.

I don't believe they do (edit: looks LIKE they do: http://www.subdecay.com/buy.php ...hmm...)

I did try to get a few that have come up in the classifieds, but to no avail. Obviously not meant to be LOL.

Sounds more like a retailer problem, for all you know they never contacted Subdecay.

If you want a Noisebox I can have a word and find a retailer with them, or maybe get one from Subdecay direct.

Naw. Got other priorities at the moment. Im done with "fuzz shuffling" ( so dirty ), and really want to get the other stuff in place before looking at anything fuzzy for a while.

Thanks for the offer tho

Ok well if you change your mind Tone Factor have some in stock.

If you PM me the name of the retailer I'll let Subdecay know.

Hey

Tayste IM'd me and told me about your post here on talkbass.

We don't actually sell directly to stores in Canada. We have a distributor up there. If they were telling you they were talking to us then I can assure you that it was untrue.

I will admit that earlier this year we were way way behind. I think we shipping 5 months old orders at one point. We are a bit more caught up now.

Anyway, thanks to everyone else for their comments on the new website. I even read some of the critique. We'll take it under advisement. I may talk to tyler about getting some kind of categorization on there eventually, but we have some back page stuff we need to finish first.
