Chicago music store with good (boutique) selection?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey there, don't know if this is the right place to put this.

I'll be in Chicago all next week for a conference, with nothing to do with myself after we break for the evening. I'd like to waste some time sampling some effects that might not be readily available locally.

Could someone recommend a couple of music shops that are open reasonably late...say after 5:30 pm...that have a pretty good selection?

Likewise, if any Chicago shows are happening during the week (June 22nd through the 25th), maybe I'll have something else to do.

Other than that, I'm going to try a dog, have a pizza, go to the Hancock building and look around, and maybe do some shopping with Oprah on the Magnificent Mile.

PS: I'll be renting a car, so...yeah...wherever doesn't need to be next to the train tracks or in walking distance.

PPS: I'm staying out by O'Hare.

They need more couches and guitars on the wall.

Looks perfect, thanks for the tip.

I would say the same about Bass Club, but it's not open that late that I know of...

Subscribed. I'm heading to Chicago for Lollapalooza and plan on visiting as many instrument stores as I can while I'm there. (Not much selection here in North Dakota don'tcha know.)
