Chicklett or Spring Chicken

I'm willing to spen more on a malekko SC if it does the job better than the chicklett that replaced it, but if they're the same thing then I'd rather go for the cheaper option. So are they the same thing pretty much?

I may be reviving a dead one here, but...there's a new Malekko Spring pedal due out in the next month or two, which they say will be head and shoulders above the older ones.
