Sortof a more chip tuney sound than the normal bloop-blip-bleep-blip-bloop cycle of a "normal" step phaser. The bass/fuzz/screech sounds are from my 2nd channel VBjr/Torn's Peaker/SCP combo.
How'd I get it to sound different. LFO type deal that changes the step rate around to different BPM note lengths and another LFO set to a different rate that varies the resonance.
Settings:
FX-2 (or 1) set to Phaser: Type= Bi-Phase (phase->phase type deal. gives a sharper sound)
Rate= BPM, Whole note
Depth= 100
Manual= 100
Resonance= X (changed by assigns. literally cycles before your eyes)
StepRate= X (same reason as Res. Set to whatever you want. That will soon change)
EffectLev= 10 (no lie. speakers beware

)
DirectLev= 0 (just the chiptune baby!)
Assign 1 of 2 (StepRate): Targe= FX-2 (or 1): PH | StepRate
Min= BPM, Quarter note dotted
Max= BPM, 16th note
Source= WAVE PEDAL
SourceMode= Moment
ActRngLo= 0
ActRngHi= 127
WaveRate= BPM, Whole note
Waveform= TRIANGLE (faster turn-around than SINE, seems smoother)
Assign 2 of 2 (Resonance): Targe= FX-2 (or 1): PH | Resonance
Min= 50 (lower seems to result in "dead spots" in the chip sounds)
Max= 93 (higher results in overload and sharp spikes. 80-90 range might even be better, volumewise)
Source= WAVE PEDAL
SourceMode= Moment
ActRngLo= 0
ActRngHi= 127
WaveRate= BPM, 16th note
Waveform= TRIANGLE
EDIT: The first part where I fade in the bass/fuzz, you will hear some bubbling in the background. That is becuase I have my fuzz pedals set above unity gain (Swollen Pickle's volume is below the 9o'clock point and its still above unity

any lower and it sounds like heaps of ass tho

) so the volume pedal after them doesn't cut out all the volume. In this case because of the phaser it sounds like the chiptune bubbling I have been getting via MP3 exportation in audacity.
The fuzz I used to pound the phase effect: My Swollen Pickle

With each of my fuzzes I get a different level/flavor of chip sound. For example, the chip sound would've sounded more subtle and not spiked as much with my Supercollider.
