It's my birthday and I want something new for my bass but I have no idea what I want! I really wanted a looper but I only have about 150-250$ to spend and from what I have seen I won't be able to buy one for that. Please make suggestions for cool things that I can play with.
Currently I have a Stingray 4 string, a Zoom b2 multi effects pedal, and a Lexicon Alpha Interface to mess around with recording. |

Easy to use, once you read the manual. | They're excellent practice tools and a lot of fun as well. I went with an RC-50 and jammed with that thing hours a day for at least a year straight. It helped to me learn the fretboard, play to a beat with solid timing, write bass lines etc..
If it were me, and assuming you're buying new, I'd try to stretch an extra $20 or so and get the RC-20xl; they're listed for $259 at musicians friend. If you're buying used you could definitely find one well within your price range, and if $250 was the absolute limit, then I'd go for the RC-2. The Headrush and DL4 are nice loopers as well, but the built in programmed beats of the Boss loopers really set them apart in my opinion, especially for beginners or anyone not playing with a band or other drum machine. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
