Chorus and Delay, can they be the same?

Sign in to disble this ad
Im kind of new to this and didnt find anything on it in the search.

Can a person just take a delay and adjust it, so that it works like a chorus? Or does that make a different kind of effect?

A very very short delay, no repeats, might work. i'm not sure how chorusy it would be.

well i have a Boss PS-3 and i just turn the delay down and turn the repeat as low as it goes and i get a chorus in my opinion. If i turn the repeat to ifanate it makes a reverb sound as well.
i just want to know if this is true reverb and chorus or not

As far as I know, chorus is a modulated short delay with no repeat. You can get a nice chorus like this with a fretless and a little vibrato technique.

The Line 6 DL-4, as well as MANY other delays include modulated delay settings, which is a delay with added modulated warble, just do a search.
