Personally, I won't use anything but an EHX Clone Theory, everything else sounds weak and plastic to me. But some people think it sounds too intense or can't live with the noise/hiss.

I use a Boss CEB-3. The Analogman choruses w/deep switch get a lot of praise and so do a few other pedals, like the Boss CE-5. But for a subtle chorus with decent low end, the CE3 does the job for me.

Took me about 20 chorus pedals till I landed on my Maxon CS 9Pro. I loved the Clone theory, but couldn't deal with the hiss. Of all the available effects types, chorus is one with many various flavors, along with filters. Makes it more difficult to wade through them all and find the ONE.

It's the only chorus I've ever been able to use to my satisfaction on bass (although I have not tried the Maxon CS-9 Pro, which has a lot of fans around here).

But I use mostly subtle settings on my CEB-3. I'm seeing the Multichorus as something that can do a lot of chorus, but not a subtle one... Is I wrong ?

The chorus is a bit of a dated sound. I think if I use it for more than 30 seconds a night it's a lot. |

I also don't disagree with plangentmusic... chorus sounds a bit dated (to my ears) when overused. But once in a while, if it fits the song, a touch more than the usually subtle during a short part (intro, bridge, outro, whatever) is not out of order... IMO, IME and all of that.

I love my CEB-3. I use it in jazz band to push me towards the front a little bit (my amp is stuck in the back of the group behind the drummer...I get lost now and then). But my chorus is a VERY subtle setting, usually just enough to push me over the top of the horns.
I'm personally not into effects to completely destroy my tone. With something like chorus, I want it to be subtle.
