chorus for that fretless Pino tone

tried joining in on a chorus thread from about a month ago but got no replies so here goes - I'm looking for a chorus to use with my fretless with Pino's early tone with Paul Young as my ideal fretless+chorus example.

I've been thinking of the Ibanez CS9 (80s or reissues), a vintage 80s Boss CE-2, Visual Liquid Chorus or EHX Stereo Electric Mistress.

which one would bring me closest to that analog 80s flavor?

First up, the SEM is digital apparently.

That said, honestly I don't give a damn about that. I'm using one now. Not too familiar with the sound you're talking about, I'll go listen, but I've gotta say the SEM puts out quite a nice rolling sound, especially when you plug it into the stereo mode. I'm using a fretless too. I guess this isn't the "right" way to do it, but I throw it before my ODs and compressor.

Boss ce 2b although the ceb3 is very capable of this sound
