I own one of those exceptions.
But yeah, most choruses aren't going to be dead-silent, especially if they're using BBD (Bucket Brigade) chips. While very popular for chorus and delay use for the quality of sound, they're not the most quiet of circuit components.
Don't quote me on this, but my
limited experience with digital chorus pedals has tended to be a noise-free experience. So if the noise really bugs you... that's an option to look into. But even some digital pedals can be quite noisy... so beware.
You might be making a bigger deal out of the noise than it really is. Of course, it's up to you to decide if it's an issue.
