Hi
Looking to pick up a chorus pedal soon. I've owned a TC chorus and an EBS unit. Both were very nice but I seldom use one and would not like to spend big bucks again. The TC is expensive and the EBS isnt cheap either. Any advice for a solid, good sounding unit for the budget minded? Im open minded and look forward to all your responses. Thanx in advance

| | | | I've heard the Danelectro Cool Cat is good, and there's also Boss Choruses and the EHX Clone Theory XO pedal might be worth checking out for you. |

Also, check out the Visual Sounds H2O Liquid chorus. It is a 2 in 1, with a sweet chorus and echo in one box. The echo is ok, but the chorus is top notch. The Boss pedals are also ok, but either of these other two are much better sounding, imo, of course. |

- Small Clone
- Polychorus
- Stereo Electric Mistress (the new XO series one, NOT the original or Deluxe versions)
- Stereo Clone Theory
- Deluxe Memory Man (NOT the new XO series one)
The most budget-friendly is the Small Clone (followed by the Stereo Electric Mistress and Clone Theory), but the others are worth a try as well!

Give em a shot. If you need something a little thicker Chorus Ensemble can work, the Boss CE5 |

I've owned both and the Unichorus is the only piece of EBS gear I've regretted buying (however, I think I sold it for more than I paid).
on ebay
EBS Unichorus = $120+
Boss CE5 = $50+
after listening to the two you would think the prices should be reversed.
Also, ebay is a great place for pedals - good selection, pedals are hard to break or damage, and they ship well.
Good Luck

I owned a Behringer Chorus. Don't do it. The build quality was really bad and the effect was nothing special.
Get something like a Boss CE-5 second hand rather than the Behringer.

They are all priced under $100.00 new. They also each sound fantastic in their own, unique way. Good luck.

On the other hand the first one I bought didn't work at all, I sent them an email, and they said they would ship me out a new one. I had it 3 days later. Nice.

By far the best chorus i've heard for bass period.

Yea. My buddy has an analog man. Totally awesome. Dont know if I want to shell out the cash, though. If I'm considering spending that, why not a TC chorus? Any opinions about stepping up?

| | | | I recommend the newer EHX clone theory (XO line). I bought one after hearing Boo's soundclips of it and really like it. It's got a bit of hiss too it, but I don't find it too bad. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
