Chorus That Sounds Like TCE SCF?

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a TC Electronics Stereo Chorus & Flange that I've used for years. I really like the tone of both the Chorus and Flanger.

My problem is that I hate the AC cord. I'm trying to run all my pedals off a One Spot.

Can anyone recommend a chorus pedal that sounds like the TCE SCF that runs on a battery? I'd like to have both chorus and flanger but I'd be willing to do without the flanger if the chorus sounds as good.

Thanks,
LeonD

The EBS unichorus pedal would be a good choice. this pedal does resemble a tc electronic stereo chorus/flanger pedal. it has similar controls and it's got some cool sounds. also this pedal very compatible to the visual sounds 1 spot 9-volt adapter.

+1. The Unichorus is very close to the TCF.

Awesome. Thanks for the recommendation.

I know there's been a few different versions. Is anyone in particular better than the others?

I just purchased a brand new EBS Unichorus. I'd say the recommendations above are half correct.

The chorus sound excellent. I might even say it's better than the TCF. Very lush, full and deep.

The flanger on the Unichorus on the other hand, is terrible. I don't know what EBS was thinking but I can't find a decent flange sound on the pedal. Where ever I set the depth and speed knobs, I seem to get random noises that completely overwhelm the rest of the sound.

So, based on the flange part of the pedal, it's going back.

Maybe it's time to try the Fulltone Choralflange?

Not sure how close it gets but I think the Line 6 chorus is modelled on it. At least is it in their Lowdown amp range.

The line 6 lowdown amps and the line 6 bass floor pod(which is the floor pedal version of the low down amps) does have a chorus that's modeled after a tc electronic stereo chorus/flanger pedal.

What about the TC Nova Modulation?
