I've had both the MXR and the Tech 21, and I liked them both, but they sound very different from each other. If you want a swirly, and/or really organic/liquid chorus, nab the MXR. If you're more looking for a chorus in the more literal sense (a voice or a couple of voices slightly out of tune with your clean signal and without modulation) I'd spring for the Tech 21. Again, both really good chorus pedals, but also both rather different IMO. |

If you can, order all three at the same time. Last I checked, MF has a 45-day return policy (but just to be sure, I'd call 'em just to get all the details). This way, you can try them all out. Worst that can happen is you can't decide which one you want and end keeping multiple pedals. (Actually, I think, the worse that can happen is that one is defective or one or more are backordered.)
Best of luck to you.

| Same for me. Also, the MXR has a bit of "sparkling" quality (for lack of a better word).

I don't ever recall him having anything but a clean sound. He either used an Alembic or a Stingray on that one...I'm guessing Alembic, but he did switch to a Stingray right around that time.

| | | | I second the MXR Analog Chorus. A great pedal, especially at the price it sells for. Lot's of different tonal options. |

Youtube vids sound so good for guitar. But has anyone tried it on bass? Any clips/vids?
