Christian McBride Uses a Boss ME50B?

Sign in to disble this ad
So I was surfing the net and I went to the Christian McBride offical site and it sayes he only uses a Boss ME50B for all his effects live and studio.
I have been wanting to get rid of mine because I thought it was a bit lacking. I have always though CMB had good effect tones. What the hell is going on here? Can anyone confirm if this is what he really uses or is this just marketing bs because boss pays off McBride to sell their stuff?
Maybe it not the pedal that sucks it's me.

What does it change if Mc Bride likes the Boss ?
It still doesn't fit your needs.

It's an awesome multi and Mc Bride's got no reason to lie.
Now, if you're not happy with it nothing's gonna change it.

Maybe you should give it a chance. Maybe Mcbride isn't telling the full story. Jazz Ad has a point too though.

Yeah, I just wondering how he get those great tones out of it. I didn't think that was possible from my experience.
It just makes me wonder if I am not using it to it's fullest thats all.

I've always been pretty happy with my ME-50B. The synths and auto wahs are a little lacking, but the choruses, delays and distortions are great.

It might have something to do with his basses and the way he uses the effects. I don't own the unit myself, but maybe it's possible that the effects are tweakable?

My favorite feature is the sound hold.....

Christian is a liar, just like all Christians. LOL JK

No but really, all kinds of endorsers can't be seen in public or admit using anything other than what they endorse in private settings. That's what the companies make them agree to.

I've even heard stories (I think about Line6) where some huge artist had the pods very visibly up on stage but they weren't even actually using them.

Bass/amp/cab can completely change the sound of an effect. An effect that sounds sweet with a 70s P-bass through an Eden rig will very possibly sound cheap and crappy with Ibanez through a behringer. Just food for thought.

Plus great playing can make even mediocre effects sound great.

LOL. I would totally do something like that, but have wires going in and out of them and everything. Then kick em over, hoping that they didn't shut off, and start the rumor that they're indistructable.

I can be such a ****...... especially conserning what I'd do if paid the right amount

On topic tho: I imagine that some one, givin enough talent/time, could make the POD sit up, beg for cracka's, then go off and make the best cup of english tea ever!

Im obviously not that person tho
