Alright.....first off.....I know it looks goofy (pedal placement e.g jacks etc) and there's a bunch of pedals (plan to get a looper) but I"m starting off finally with a board and a large one at that. I've already cut a few cables and have velcro'd all the goods. I plan to also mount a DC Brick underneath tomorrow (I"m off to party tonight...school is out and the beers are in). What do you guys think? Give me suggestions! Any criticism is good.....if it sucks....straight up tell me!. Also.....I know I have a bunch of gain pedals (TSLF, Malazadas, Supercollider, Mammoth, but they are a very integral part of my sound on various songs. As goes for the 3 octavers.... Anyways....I will add more details when I come back! You can also see a few of the other pedals I left out in the background. |

Disappointed to see an AF-9 and - more importantly - a Funk-A-Duck discarded. Shame on you! |

Otherwise nothing to add, except that I'm extremely jelous of the funk-a-duck. Are you hanging on to the cyber psychic, or is it moving on if its not on your board? |

| | Registered User | | | | | The M pedal is a b sharp malazadas. The cyber psychic is going to be going into my trogotronic as well as the funk a duck. They give out great tones even on bass but not a live environment....among other things. Great pedals though! |

2. You GOTTA be having some fun with all those! |

1. Where in the signal chain is the ruler going?
2. Is the ruler going to be used as a limiter or expander?
MEKer - That's a GGG Tremolo built by me and handpainted by my lovely wife .
You need more party on that board...I'm thinking a ruler, confetti, a party hat, and sparklers... |

bass>whammy>oc-2>pog>supercollider>tslf> mammoth>malazadas(damnit the placement sucks for this pedal but it's hard to get it in another spot)> digi BSW> line 6 fm4> dod 490> android> ryan's creation...the tremorlo>PS3> carbon copy>digidelay>headrush>the end
i'm thinking of getting a looper or ls-2 but am unsure as to how i would use em at this point.
ryan: the ruler is gonna be used as ummmmmmmmmm a expander! hahahha. good one. |

| | | | Don't you think it sucks tone with so many effect in the chain?
I've got 1x pedals on my board. I am planning to get a true bypass looper to bypass the effect when I don't use them. |

If it were me though, I'd probably pare it down to essentials, at least if this is to be used as a live tool. While some of these guys may be unique enough in tone to warrant multiple versions, I think that live you're going to have some redundancies. JMHO of course.

That being said: I have a Pedal Pad board coming sometime in the next week. One thing to remember is that with the space under the board you can put your pedals anywhere you want them and rout underneath it. I don't know if thought of that, but I had a had time explaining that to one of my guitarists.
The board I have now is one of the old Furman flat boards and I hate it. I have to put the pedals in the order that they are in the chain.
P.S. What do you think of the Line 6? I've heard shaky things about the build quality with the switches.

| | Registered User | | | | | hey Olaf, yeah i do know about routing the cables underneath and i have already on a few pedals.....just i dont want a string of long cable from one end to another. but yeah.....good advice mate. the line 6 is great. i love it to death and have full faith in it. my only complaint is that the power supply is huge and bulky....but i will get a pp2+ soon. no breakage here though. |
