So, I came across this on youtube: link to Youtube of circuit bent digiverb
anyone know how to either do this to a digiverb, or another piece of gear that does anything similiar (overly ridiculous reverse reverb)? |

You pop the lid, reach in, and make random circuit connections with your fingertips until you hear something interesting. Then if you want to repeat a certain bend, you find the spot(s) that your fingers were touching and put in some wires or metal pins at those points for easy access.
It's the same for any piece of electronic gear. Just watch out for the power supply lines, and large capacitors. |

maybe the led is just in the reverse position?

Sorry if I wasn't clear enough. |

But I'm sure you already knew that. |

One thing you can do is take a Sharpie (a red one will show up best) and draw along the traces leading from the power supply. Then avoid touching the red ones. |
