Classic Sansamp Sound With A VT Bass

My GT2 just fried... so I'm left with my VT Bass Deluxe as my only grit/drive pedal. I really only used the GT2 for light to medium grind, like you get with the Bass Driver DI.

Does anyone have a setting figured out on the VT Bass that gets close to that?

I can't seem to get it to do that subtle scooped/clanky sound that the old school Sansamp pedals are known for.

Character knob about 1-2 o'clock, mid knob about 10. That's a good start.
