Clean Boost Pedal

I am not very familiar with pedals and i'm looking for a good clean boost pedal. Also, is there any good ones used for guitars that work for bass?

The EBS compressor pedal has lots of gain, so it can do clean boost. You can add tasty but very subtle compression if you want it too. I wouldn't use a BDDI as a clean boost. Too much colouration (therefore not "clean").

Durham Sex Drive. Nothing beats the clarity and tone of it. And you get a top of the line compression as well

I heard about that BBE one. Would it change the sound of the bass because it's a guitar boost?

EHX boost pedal. No noise. Just clean boost. Sells for like $40.

The BBE Boosta grande is GARBAGE!!!! It adds so much coloration, it blows!

I ran this same thred a few weeks and got some great input but the one I went with was the Creation Audio MK.4.23

Sereous clean, no color what-so-ever! tons of boost, does one thing, does it extremely well.

Clean, loud, dependable, cheap. I love mine for switching between basses with differing output levels, sweetens the tone just a hair.

IMO the Markbass super booster is a great booster. It is also a very go "swiss army knife" type of a pedal cause in addition to the booster effect, it's also got a DI output and the VLE and VPF knobs found on all Markbass amps. It's a great tool to have, and it is the cornerstone of my sound.

Check out the Catlinbread Serrano Picaso...It's a nice little clean boost...The MXR Micro Amp that was mentioned above is a great boost pedal as well, especially for the price.

The Serrano has been discontinued for a few years now (once or twice a year, one will show in the classifieds, tho). The Super Chili Picoso, which is still available, has the same 'fat' circuit as the Serrano as well as a clean'ish boost.

The MXR/CAE MC-401 Boost/Line Driver is another suggestion...it does add a tiny amount of 'shimmer' to the tone, but nothing over-the-top.

I always thought the Segrado Pablono Picoso was a sexy little pedal but it is out of production.
