I'd tell you to do a search, but you probably wouldn't turn up much because it seems that even if one Metallica fan can actually spell "Cliff Burton", the rest of them can't so you won't find anything with a search anyhow.

I kid, I kid. You'll probably want to try some distortion settings on your Boss unit. I don't know though if there's models of anything even close to what Cliff used in there, not saying even if there was they'd be anything close. Good luck!

To get his lead sound he used both an old Ibanez Tubescreamer TS808 or an Electro Harmonix Big Muff(for distortion) and a Morley Wah pedal. His amp was an old Mesa Boogie (cant remember the model) with a series of 10 inch, 15 inch and18 inch cabs.
You can still get the distortion pedals, and in conjunction with wah pedal you should get pretty close to his sound through your rig, however for a full on metal assualt you may think about adding another 2x10 or maybe 4x10 cab. I realise this depends on available funds!
